IAEE Certification Journey to support leadership skills

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) has expanded its CEM Learning Programme to meet the needs of exhibitions and events professionals as they develop their career in the industry. Building on years of experience, the recently debuted IAEE Certification Journey is comprised of five levels: Workforce Ready Assessment, CEM Certified, CEM-Advanced Professional, CEM Fellow and CEM Emeritus. "The IAEE Certification Journey provides a distinctive path for those in the CEM community to build additional core leadership skills in their career path", said 2019 IAEE Chairperson Tom Cindric, Jr., Senior Vice President for Informa, Global Exhibitions. As CEMs complete each phase of their certification journey, they will receive a digital badge that can be used on business cards, email signatures and such to demonstrate their CEM certification level. The Certified in Exhibition Management Advanced Professional (CEM-AP) certification program is for CEMs with at least 10 years of industry experience who have acquired 30 education/leadership credits through a combination of leadership activities and industry-related continuing education. Applicants must complete one mandatory, two-day course as part of the CEM-AP requirement.
